Nest Homes is a family-run business. We sell and let homes across Cardiff, the Vale of Glamorgan and the surrounding towns, and we look after a lot of student houses in Cathays and Roath. Most of the people you'll deal with have been here for years. There's no head office and no call centre.
Thirty-five years in one city adds up. We know what it costs when a boiler fails in January, what a tenant actually needs to move in on time, and which streets let quickly and which don't. We give landlords and sellers the advice we'd want ourselves, even when it isn't what they were hoping to hear.
Unusually for an agent, we also have our own building and refurbishment team. If a house needs a new kitchen before it goes on the market or converting to a larger HMO, we do the work ourselves rather than passing it on.

Lettings and management
Finding tenants, referencing them properly, collecting the rent and dealing with repairs when they come up. We manage professional lets and student houses, and we handle the Rent Smart Wales and Renting Homes (Wales) Act paperwork so you don't have to.What we offer landlords
Sales
A free valuation based on what has actually sold nearby, proper photography and a floorplan, a listing on Rightmove and our own site, and one person handling your sale from viewing to completion.Book a valuation
Building and refurbishment
Kitchens, bathrooms, HMO conversions and general refurbishment, done by our own team. Mostly for landlords we already work with, but we take on other jobs where it makes sense.Recent work

None of this is optional for a proper agent in Wales, but it's worth knowing what each one means for you.

- If you ever have a complaint we can't resolve between us, there is an independent body you can take it to.
- Propertymark (ARLA & NAEA)
- The lettings and sales professional bodies. Membership means ongoing training and a code of practice we have to follow.
- Client Money Protection
- Rent and deposits we hold on your behalf are insured, so your money is safe if anything ever happened to the business.
- Deposit Protection Service
- Every tenant deposit is registered with the DPS within the legal timeframe.
- Rent Smart Wales
- Licensed to let and manage property in Wales, as the law here requires.
